White Addition & Remodel

A second story addition and first floor remodel to add 961 s.f. to an existing 2631 s.f. residence in North Tacoma built in the late 1940’s. Working within a 25 foot height limit due to a view restriction overlay, we expanded the existing residence from a rectangular to a square box, which with a new hip roof, allowed for a more Craftsman character to fit in more with the surrounding houses. We gained second floor space by building out over existing first floor covered areas while simultaneously creating deeper areas of exterior refuge and a more appealing front entrance.
