Residential Work

Campbell Kitchen Remodel
Completed July 2001 | Built by Copernican
Residential kitchen remodel including a projected box window for a residence in the University District. Building outside of the existing kitchen footprint was not an option and we had to work around an existing furnace to maximize the existing usable wall area. The operable portion of the new projected box window was centered on the existing opening to the kitchen from the dining room. New cherry casework framed over the opening for shelving space and to accentuate the sense of entry into the kitchen. The kitchen sink was placed in the corner to give a “cockpit” view of the back yard and to save the corner from becoming dead space. Wine bottles niche shelving was designed into the opposite corner to maximize adjacent pantry storage. Honed black granite was used for the countertops and the 2-person cantilevered eating table.
